Since childhood, I have known that Eden Sanctuary would one day exist. I cherished moments spent with our German Shepherds and even my first word was the name of our beloved dog, Lady. As I grew, so did my understanding of the plight of farmed animals, leading me to make the decision, supported by my wonderful mum, to become vegetarian at the tender age of 10. At the time of writing, I have now been vegan for 11 years.
Eden Sanctuary is home to just under 50 animals, all rescued from abuse, neglect and/ or slaughter. They will live the rest of their lives happy and free, until they are ready to leave this world.
