Somatic Psychotherapy
Connect with your body’s wisdom to unlock emotional healing and lasting change. Through body awareness and effective nervous system regulation, this approach can be profoundly effective for processing trauma, alleviating anxiety, and resolving stress-related physical conditions.
If you’ve been in counselling or psychotherapy for years and still find yourself returning to the same baseline emotion, or if you’ve been scared to try therapy, or skeptical it could actually help; if you’re tired, sick of people-pleasing, or have lost touch with what you truly need; if you have persistent aches, chronic pain or you feel guilty simply resting or having fun; if loneliness has been a long-standing companion, or navigating relationships feels overwhelming; if you’ve often felt you couldn’t fully be yourself, or that parts of you weren’t truly welcomed; if you turn to unhealthy habits; if you don’t know where to turn, or you just need a safe space to be fully yourself
You’re in the right place. Welcome.

My Expertise
My interest in psychology began early. I first studied psychology and later trained in integrative psychotherapy at the Minster Centre in London. At that stage of my life, though, I knew I needed more lived experience and more of my own healing before I was ready to work deeply with others.
I went on to become a secondary English and Drama teacher in the UK and abroad, including pastoral roles supporting young people with anxiety, low self-esteem, behavioural difficulties and family problems. That work deepened my understanding of what sits underneath behaviour and how emotional distress can affect every part of a person’s life.
Later, I founded Eden Sanctuary in Mallorca, an extension of a lifelong love of animals and commitment to animal advocacy. Caring for rescued animals, alongside everything I experienced personally during those years, deepened my understanding of the connection between early experience and the ways we relate to the present world: our behaviours, relationships, beliefs, coping strategies and responses to stress. It also gave me first-hand experience of the emotional cost of sustained caring: grief, repeated loss, responsibility, compassion fatigue, and eventually profound physical and emotional depletion.
I later returned fully to psychotherapy training and now work as a somatic psychotherapist and certified Compassionate Inquiry practitioner.
I work with people who care deeply, often to the point of carrying too much.
You may be an activist, rescuer, vegan, campaigner, carer or simply someone who feels a strong responsibility to make the world better. You may find yourself pushing through exhaustion, feeling guilty when you rest, struggling to say no, taking on more than is sustainable, or feeling that whatever you do is never enough.
My work can help you understand where these patterns come from, recognise the beliefs and survival responses that keep them in place, and find ways of taking meaningful action without losing yourself in the process.
I have a particular interest in trauma stewardship, compassion fatigue, self-sacrifice, grief, moral distress and the psychological impact of activism and animal rescue. Together, we can work towards greater choice, stronger boundaries, more sustainable ways of caring, and a relationship with yourself that is as compassionate as the one you want to extend to others.
Alongside this specialist work, I maintain a general psychotherapy practice and work with people from many different backgrounds and with a wide range of concerns. My therapy practice is not limited to vegans or activists, and the work always remains centred on the individual, their experience and what matters to them.
I am also developing talks, groups and experiential work around trauma, compassion, sustainable activism and the emotional experience of living according to deeply held values.
My Approach: Unlocking Your Authentic Self
My therapeutic philosophy is deeply informed by the holistic, trauma-informed insights of leading minds like Gabor Maté (whose Compassionate Inquiry forms the bedrock of my practice), Bessel van der Kolk, and Peter Levine. This integrated understanding allows us to explore how mental, physical, and emotional experiences are interconnected, leading to comprehensive healing.
My primary method, Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry, is a collaborative journey. I don’t see myself as the expert in your life, but rather a compassionate guide. I walk beside you, fully trusting that you hold all the answers and inner resources necessary for your healing and growth. We will work together to uncover and access this innate wisdom, creating a path uniquely tailored to your journey toward greater authenticity and autonomy.
This powerful method is incredibly versatile, applicable to a wide spectrum of issues. My personal experience and specialized knowledge allow me to offer particular insight into ADHD (as an individual with ADHD myself), compassion fatigue, anxiety, and depression, among many other conditions.
